NEWS for those of you don’t already know... below is a psudo blog on our life... basically a listing of major happenings and the dates... and this web site is a glorified photo album

  • 03-04-07 -- So I updated the website today after being without a computer for a few weeks now.  Here is what is new in case you do not want to read a bunch...
  • 03-03-07 -- Ethan is 6 weeks old today and we had an awsome photo shoot at Sears.  Check out the pictures!
  • 03-02-07 -- Ethan weighs 11 lbs 2 oz today at almost 6 weeks old.
  • 03-01-07 -- Visited some more with my Grandma and Grandpa. They got to see my sewing machine
  • 02-27-07 -- Grandma Charlotte, Grandpa Ray, WL, and Sue all came over today and visited with us.  It was nice seeing them all and Ethan behaved for them to hold him.
  • 02-21-01 -- The same lady who teaches the Music together class that we are taking also teaches Yogamamba. It is a Yoga class for moms and their babies.  It was quite a workout for me.  I just realized how much muscle is broken when they cut it open for a C-section.  Wow! But the class was fun and I will be going again until I get back to work.
  • 02-20-07 -- I found the neatest program for Ethan and I today... Music Together.  It is a music class for kids ages newborn thru Kindergarten.  I took ethan and we danced, sang, had tummy time on the drum, moved our arms and legs, and generally just looked around like everyone was nuts.  It was great! I will be signing up for the spring semester which starts in 2 weeks. If you have kids too... you should definitely check it out.
  • 02-18-07 -- Ethan and Tommy were Christened today at Faith Lutheran Church in North Palm Beach, FL at 2pm. Ethan is 29 days old today.  My great grandfather, Rev. William Roy Tucker, (Ethan’s Great Great Grandfather) did the Christening in the same robe I was Christened in and Ethan wore the same cloths I wore when I was Christened. A friend of my grandmother Charlotte, I call her Aunt Alice, handmade the dress.  Also, Ethan was christened in the same church Erich and I were married!  What history in it all!!! Pictures are posted.

Danny and Emily stood with us as his god parents.  It was a pretty long drive for them for such a quick ceremony.  Thanks guys!!!!
  • 02-16-07 -- We went to the Doctor today to do a weight check... and he weighs 10lbs 5oz!!!  Yipee he is getting big.
  • 02-14-07 -- Valentines day!  Erich send me beautiful flowers, roses and lilies in a red vase.  I have no vases in the house so this is exciting because now I have something to put flowers in... yipee! I took Ethan to the mall to get his picture taken and the place was pricey and not so good, but I did get a few cute pics. These count as his 1 month old pics since he is 25 days old... close enough.  Ethan is starting to hold his head up pretty well and is basically a bobble head baby ;o)
  • 02-05-07 -- So our computer is dead and Erich reformatted it and guess what?  The CD for the software I use to do my website has gone MIA!  So I am without a way to edit the website.  I downloaded a trial version of the software to try and use till he finds the CD, but I am loosing hope.
  • 02-04-07 -- Erich’s brother, Alfredo, and his parents came up to visit with Ethan. We had a nice visit and had fun.
  • 02-02-07 -- Ethan had another weight check today and he weighed 8lbs, 12oz!  He is growing FAST!
  • 01-28-07 -- Today we are meeting with Ruthy Wilson to see if we can fix our latching issues. We are also getting visitors from North Palm and North Carolina.
  • 01-27-07 -- Ethan is 1 week old today and I finally added pictures to the web site!! WOW, it just seems like he came home yesterday.  OK-- I think I finally updated the site with pictures... I have been super tired, and this is the first time I feel like playing on the computer.

Ethan is doing great.  So far he is a super happy and quiet baby.  He wakes and grunts and smacks his lips which means “FEED ME SOON OR ELSE” then he acts a bit fussy which means change me and burp me, then he gets this drunk baby look meaning “oh yeah... I’m full and the siesta can begin.” Being a mom is great and every day he does something new that makes me holler... get the camera quick. Erich loves to cuddle with the baby, and we often find our selves saying ‘I’ll hold him’ ‘That’s OK, I’ve got him’ ‘But you can go rest if I hold him’ hehehehe... It is pretty comical.
  • 01-26-07 -- We had our follow up weight check at the doctors office today to make sure Ethan was gaining weight appropriately. He weighed 8 lbs, 1 oz!!! I doubt he really gained that much weight in 2 days, but his weight is definitely going the right direction.  We then went to a mommy support group (breast feeding help) and visited with a bunch of moms with their babies.  It was a lot of fun and I think I definitely will go again next week. Our first out-of-towners arrived for a quick visit today.  Jeff and Angela came from Tampa to check out the baby and visit for a bit.  I think Erich and I were a bit of a bore since all we really do right now is cater to the baby, but it was a lot of fun seeing them and visiting for a bit!  They also brought Ethan a cute tummy time play area for him!
  • 01-25-07 -- Erich has been super helpful and great with the baby!  He holds him, kisses him, and is just GREAT!!!  Erich also is really great to me... he brings me water, changes the baby, cleans the kitchen, folds cloths, etc... he is taking his ‘I am off to help you’ very seriously and it is really appreciated!
  • 01-24-07 -- Ethan had his first visit to the doctors office today. He weighed 7 pounds 8 ounces Ethan had his first bath today... he screamed the entire time until we washed his hair... he really seemed to love that! Also, our church family rules! Today was the first of many nights where various families volunteered to bring us dinners so we would not have to worry about them while we adjust to the family life. Tonight we had a really YUMMY tomato based soup with sour dough bread! Thanks Lauren - It was really tasty!
  • 01-23-07 -- 12:16 WE’RE FREE!!!!! No more hospital! No more visits at all hours checking temp and blood pressure, no more reporting diaper counts and feeding lengths to the nurses! Yipee!!! Ethan weighed 7 lbs 7 oz when we were discharged.
  • 01-22-07 -- We caught the cutest picture of our baby boy smiling after eating!  SOOOO CUTE!
  • 01-21-07 -- we had our first visitors at the hospital (my mom and sister)
  • 01-20-07 -- 9:36pm, after a long day of slow labor we ended up needing a C-Section :o( to get our baby but all is well, our baby was born perfectly healthy and chubby!  He weighed 8 lbs, 3oz and measured 19.25” long. He scored an 8/9 apgar and Erich got to cut his cord.  With me thruout the day: Erich, my mom, sister, Lisa (my doula), WL, Sue, Erich’s Mom and dad.
  • 01-20-07 -- 3:05am my water broke which means... today is the day we meet our son!!!  Yipee!!!
  • 12-31-06 -- Updated Tommy Alexanders site with new pictures of him sleeping, at bath time, and with The Tucker Brothers.
  • 12-27-06 -- Updated my pregnancy pictures.  I had not loaded up any since I was 20 weeks pregnant. Now they are current thru today (37 weeks, 1 day).
  • 12-22-06 -- Added more pictures of Little T! Check out all the cuties!
  • 12-21-06 -- I made Tommy a little site (I will be more creative when I have more time) and posted the most adorable pictures of his first visit with Santa. Check them out!

  • 12-05-06 -- Tommy Alexander was born today!  Stefanie and baby are doing great! He was 8 lbs, 8 oz and 20” long. I have loaded up some of the initial pictures and movies for your viewing pleasure
  • 11-02-06 -- Getting ready for Christmas? My site is... :-). Also, I started a web site for the baby... http://baby.mirabal.org/ ... I will be fixing it up and once I like it I will be getting rid of the baby stuff from this web site... just linking to the other one.  Right now it is in construction but it has some neat things (like a virtual scrapbook which is super neat) that you may want to check out. Let me know what you think.
  • 10-28-06 -- We are 28 weeks, 4 days along today and we had the pleasure of meeting our little one today -- well virtually :). We had a 3D photo session where we got to see him move around and got to take lots of pictures!  So neat... check out all the photos!

I also added the gator game we went to and other entertaining events we have hosted or attended.  See the Friends and Fun Photo Collection. Believe it or not, I still have a lot of pictures to add... Till later...
  • 09-07-06 -- We attended birthing class #2 (Bradley Method) today.  I also updated the look of our site. Pictures will be added later this week.
  • 09-06-06 -- I am having a horrible week so far, BUT... I redid the structure of the entire site.  I think it is much nicer now... I will be adding a bunch more photo albums over the next week and hopefully changing the look of the site -- I am tired of the meadow theme.
  • 09-01-06 -- Little bit has taken to kicking mommy all night. It is a neat feeling... Well I updated our web pages. I added pictures of our cruise to the Bahamas and pictures of my growing tummy...  Take a look and leave a message on the guest book if you feel like it...
  • 08-28-06 -- We just got back from our “Babymoon” :).  Sort of a mini honeymoon before the baby comes. We went on a cruise to the Bahamas with a few friends (Brad and Maryum who actually found this cruise and invited us -- THANKS for the invite!!!! Had a blast!). The cruise was a short weekend trip over and back, but it was lots of fun.  We sailed on Royal Caribbean’s “Sovereign of the Seas.” That is a HUGE boat and has some great activities on board.  I will post some pictures later.  We did the 3 night Bahamas cruise.  the itinerary was as follows:
  • 08-16-06 -- We had our ultrasound today at 9am!  The baby was kicking around, clapping hands, and literally doing flips (Head started on my right side, flipped to my left, then back to the right, all while we were watching). It was an amazing experience.  The heart was pumping away, we got to see the brain, kidneys, bladder, stomach, cortex, placenta, cord, arms, legs, gender, bladder, and much more -- So cool! We are 18 weeks, 1 day pregnant today.  I posted the ultrasound pictures on the babies page... and yes we know the gender... check out the page and see for yourselves! Yipee!!!!  Also, my dear friend in the North East sent us (i.e. ME   hehehe) the cutest present today (THANK YOU)... I posted pictures as well. :)

  • 11-13-05 -- So, its been a long time since I updated the site... sorry.  A lot has been going on... we closed on the house 9-29-05 and moved in the next day.  We are still light on furniture, but it is starting to look nice. We painted the living room walls a shade of peach (it is pretty) and we bought an area rug. We installed lots of fans and some light fixtures (inside and out) and tinted all the windows to minimize energy costs... We hung some curtains and stained a computer cabinet... so, I have put some pictures up on the outside and the living room since it is the only room that looks like a room... check it all out and let me know what you think.
  • 09-03-05 -- GO GATORS!!! We started a bit rough, but won a good game today!  As far as our house, well according to Chris (our construction manager) we should be having a walk thru on Friday the 9-9-05 to create our punch list so we can move on to closing. I am a bit weary on this date, but I guess I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.  No new pictures yet since we are locked out. Also, check our web site regularly (i.e. daily), I like seeing the counter go up :)  Till I write again...
  • 08-29-05 -- I am officially sick, grumpy, have a fever, and I am overall a cranky <fill in the blank>.  Poor Erich. I feel the need to complain, so this site seems like as good a place as any.  Oh, on top me not feeling well, our construction manager has not returned my calls which makes me want to call and complain to all who will listen at the builders office, However, I won’t, because I am cranky.  So, as a result of him not calling, I have no new news to report on our house. How sad! I'm done for now. Later.
